The TorusWare & Biostatech alliance has been named a finalist in the Challenge posed by the Nueva Pescanova Group, an initiative promoted by Galicia Open Future of Telefónica and financed by the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN) and IGAPE.
The Challenge posed by the Nueva Pescanova Group sought solutions to the question: How can we model the data collected in successive shrimp breeding cycles to predict and correct behaviour and optimise present and future decision-making?
Our biostatistics and applied statistics company, together with TorusWare, a Big Data and Devops technology company, proposed the solution based on the use of innovative statistical methodologies and the development of tools to improve the management and control of shrimp farming.
Congratulations to the winner: Deicom Technologies, a technology company based in Vigo, as well as the other two finalists: Gamco, a company based in Madrid that provides software solutions based on predictive models based on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and the Telecommunications Technology Centre based in Vigo: Gradiant.
