📢📰New publication in The Lancet Psychiatry 📢📰
We are pleased to announce that one of the latest studies we have collaborated on has been published in the prestigious journal The Lancet Psychiatry and recommended by its editorial team.
This large-scale meta-analysis, “Mortality from respiratory diseases in individuals with severe mental illness: a large-scale systematic review and meta-analysis”, includes data from nearly 5 million people with severe mental illness and more than 780 million controls. The results show that people with severe mental illness are more than twice as likely to die from respiratory diseases compared to the general population.
Our director at Biostatech, Maria P. Pata, has published a commentary on this study in The Lancet Psychiatry. text-decoration: none;» href=»https://www.linkedin.com/in/maria-pata-100348181/»>Maria P. Thank you for allowing us to participate in this study led by Fernando Sarramea. Thanks also to the first author, David Laguna, and to María José Jaén-Moreno and the rest of the team of co-authoring researchers.
