In the second call for Industrial Doctorates of the Xunta de Galicia, Biostatech has been selected with one of the highest scores.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Biostatech thanks the Galician Innovation Agency<\/a> for granting the 2022 industrial doctorate<\/strong> to Julia Garc\u00eda Curr\u00e1s, biostatistician-bioinformatics-genetics from our advisory area.<\/p>\n

His doctoral thesis: \u201cDiscovery of new biomarkers through cutting-edge proteomic technologies\u201d,<\/em><\/strong> represents the multidisciplinary connection between biostatistics & bioinformatics & clinical & computing & proteomics.<\/p>\n

The professor at the Universidade da Coru\u00f1a<\/a> Guillermo Lopez Taboada<\/strong>, our scientific-technical director: Maria Pata<\/strong>, and Francisco Gude Sampedro<\/strong>, IP of the ResMeT Group of the Santiago de Compostela Health Research Institute<\/a> and associate professor at the University of Santiago de Compostela<\/a> will be responsible for the direction of this work.<\/p>\n

Among its many objectives, this project aims to implement and apply cutting-edge statistical methodologies and new computational tools<\/strong>, to provide solutions not only in the field of proteomics, but also in the clinic, with the identification of biomarkers that allow the early detection of common diseases such as diabetes.<\/p>\n
