Biostatech presents at the Nordic Conference in Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics 2025

Our industrial PhD student presented her work at the Nordic Conference in Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics 2025

Participation in international scientific conferences is part of our organization’s commitment to promoting applied research and knowledge transfer between academia and business. As part of this commitment, our industrial PhD student Julia García Currás represented Biostatech at the Nordic Conference in Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics 2025, held from September 1 to 3 in Odense, Denmark.

During the meeting, Julia García Currás presented her work entitled «Exploring Biomarkers in Type 2 Diabetes vs Normoglycemia Identified through High-throughput Proteomics: A Systematic Review & Meta-Analysis,» which is the first systematic review and meta-analysis of studies comparing proteomic biomarker data between people with type 2 diabetes mellitus and normoglycemic controls. This study offers one of the most comprehensive and recent syntheses in the field, contributing to a deeper understanding of molecular pathophysiology and identifying potential biomarker candidates for future validation.

We are grateful for the support of GAIN for its collaboration in the development of industrial doctoral projects, an initiative that promotes innovation, research talent, and cooperation between business and academia.
