Training seminar given by Biostatech: “Experimental design and sample size in animal experimentation”

Within the training plan organized by CiMUS in collaboration with CEBEGA, the training seminar: «Experimental design and sample size in animal experimentation» took place on January 14, taught by María Pata, scientific-technical director and Head of the Consulting, Training and R&D+i Area of ​​Biostatech.

The training event covered topics on statistical methodology through parameters associated with a good experimental design, different structures within the designs, biases surrounding an experiment and software related to the calculation of sample size.

This session was framed as continuing education and aimed at personnel trained in the design of projects and procedures (RD 53/2013), as well as for researchers who participated in some way in the design of the procedures they perform (RD 53/2013).

The level of acceptance was maximum, with a total of 71 researchers enrolled. Many of them belonged to CIMUS or to different research institutes within the University of Santiago de Compostela.
